Dr. Binit Shah, MD, is one of the founding physicians of Carolinas Pain Center
Dr. Shah received his Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of South Florida, and attended St. Georges University School of Medicine. He pursued training in Anesthesiology at the State University of New York in Syracuse where he was elected as Chief Resident. To further his education, Dr. Shah underwent sub specialty training in Neuroanesthesiology and Neurophysiology at the Harvard Medical School. Dr. Shah has also completed a fellowship in Pain Medicine at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

Dr. Shah serves as the medical director for CPC, a state-of-the-art facility, which he founded with a goal to provide specialized treatment for patients whose lives are limited by pain each and every day. He continues to remain active in the community, participating regularly in educational activities for nurses, healthcare workers and students. Dr. Shah has delivered presentations at various venues, including the Post Graduate Assembly and the American Society of Anesthesiology’s annual meetings. He has advocated for his patients on various healthcare issues and has served as a delegate to the American Society of Anesthesiologists.
