Dr. Michael Pettus was born and raised in the Charlotte area. After high school he attended the University of South Carolina where he majored in business and pre-medical sciences. He then stayed at the University of South Carolina for medical school. After completing a year of General Surgery he pursued further training at The Ohio State University in Anesthesiology. His subspecialty fellowship is in Interventional Pain Medicine which he also completed at Ohio State. During his fellowship he performed high volumes of neuromodulation and interventional procedures.
Dr. Pettus enjoys spending time with his wife Sheena who is an Internal Medicine physician, their two boys Jackson, 4, and Dean, 1. He is an avid sports fan of the Carolina teams, loves to travel, and makes world class homemade pizzas, neapolitan style.
